Reporting to the Sr. Manager QPS or Manager, Data Resource Management, the Senior Analyst, Clinical Intelligence provides technical and analytics expertise for quality and operations reporting, including but not limited to extraction, interpretation, visualization and presentation of data to support hospital key performance indicators, regulatory reporting, and clinical decision support. The analyst requires frequent direct interaction with a variety of clinical customers in the development of reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis / Data Modelling
Manages complex datasets by identifying, aggregating, cleaning and validating data from multiple sources in preparation for reporting use.
Implements various visualization techniques to assist users in identifying critical data quickly and accurately.
Participates in the development of data models.
Uses analytical techniques to design, develop and maintain reports, scorecards and dashboards, summarizing clinical, quality and operations data, for review by executives, quality leadership, clinical staff and otherstakeholders.
Provides in-depth analysis and develops routine reporting of performance and quality indicators to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
Reviews, analyzes, and manages queries as regulatory reporting standards change, or as other opportunities for refinement occur.
Creates or reviews technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions.
Documents specifications for reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
Manages timely flow of clinical intelligence and analytics to end users
Evaluates the information flow and data collection methods for continuous process improvement.
Collects, validates and reports data related to hospital accreditation, specialty certification, Department of Health and/or Dubai Health Authority regulatory requirements and Jawda Data Certification (where applicable).
Submits data per internal requirements (i.e. QSC and Mubadala Health Corporate) and regulatory requirements (i.e. quarterly Jawda reporting).
Technical Expertise
Uses SQL to develop complex queries from electronic medical record.
Knowledge of Cerner Command Language (CCL) in facilities utilizing Cerner as electronic medical record.
Maintain knowledge of clinical risk management databases and systems to allow for automated reporting.
Understand and follow facility data governance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems and/or Business Administration or other related field or years of experience in lieu of degree.
Required Experience
4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with data analysis and report generation within the healthcare sector.
Minimum 4 years of experience using database programming language for report development.
Extensive experience with database programming language (CCL/SQL)
Prererred Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience collaborating with clinical quality teams and/or process improvement activities.
Working knowledge of Regulatory and Accreditation activities i.e. DOH/DHA, JAWDA & Tasneef Audits and Joint Commission International.
Required Job Specific Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of statistics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Extensive experience with database. Programming language (CCL/SQL).
Able to accurately apply data to clinical issues.
Able to manage multiple projects and processes at the same time.
Excellent written and verbal communication fskills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
