Senior AI/ML Engineer (Computer Vision & 3D Generation)

About the Role:
As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will be a key player in developing cutting-edge computer vision systems with a primary focus on generating high-fidelity 3D models from 2D data. You will tackle complex challenges in human body digitization, working on projects that range from virtual try-ons and athletic performance analysis to immersive digital avatars for the metaverse.
Key Responsibilities:

• Research, Design, and Implement advanced machine learning models for 3D human avatar/mannequin generation from images and video streams.
• Develop and optimize algorithms for human pose estimation, instance segmentation, and 3D mesh reconstruction.
• Leverage and extend state-of-the-art techniques in photogrammetry and neural rendering to create realistic and animatable 3D assets.
• Build robust, scalable, and efficient data processing pipelines for 2D-to-3D conversion.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into production-level applications and platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions on AI architecture and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry trends in Computer Vision and 3D Deep Learning.

Qualifications & Must-Have Skills:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python and AI/ML.
• Proven hands-on experience in building systems for 3D avatar, mannequin, or human model generation from 2D data (images/video).
• Deep technical expertise in:
• Computer Vision: Pose Estimation (2D & 3D), Semantic Segmentation, Depth Estimation.
• Frameworks & Libraries: PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, MediaPipe, OpenPose, Detectron2.
• 3D Concepts: 3D Mesh Reconstruction, Texturing, Lighting, and Rendering principles.
• Practical experience with 3D tools and scripting, such as Blender (Python API), Unity, or Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of the entire ML lifecycle, from data collection and model training to deployment and monitoring.
