Job purpose:

To prepare and analyse various financial reports, such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements as per IFRS & accounting policy & procedures. Identify any variances, determine reasons of variance and to provide justification to Management. To extract and analyse information from the ERP system, to ensure that the Company\xe2\x80\x99s financial standing is monitored, GL accounts are regularly reviewed and reconciled. Analyse and provide financial data; conduct the account processing and closing activities in accordance with legal accounting standards and policies.

Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Prepares the monthly financial reports, such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements showing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s income and expenditure, by obtaining information from ERP system and analysing, to look for variances such as increased profitability or losses and report numbers to parent Company.
  • Prepares the quarterly Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Accounts and Cash Flow Statements for all Company accounts and compares the figures with the previous year\xe2\x80\x99s corresponding quarter, to highlight any variances and to provide justification to Management.
  • Prepares the year-end Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow Statements. Analyses any variances in detail by comparison with the previous years\xe2\x80\x99 figures and submits information for inclusion in the Annual Management Report for the Chairman and Board of Directors.
Job Specific Accountabilities

Variance Analysis
  • Investigates the reasons for the variances by scrutinising and comparing the figures and provides justification to Management.
  • Analyses other areas of the business by obtaining information from the system and using this information to keep a check on the relevant figures, such as monthly aviation business profitability and further investigation where necessary.
Cash Flow Management
  • Prepares and analyses the monthly Cash Flow Statement for submission to Management, using information extracted from the system, showing sources of income and expenditure, broken down into specific areas such as interest paid, payments etc.
  • Prepares and analyses the annual projected cash flow forecast, using figures from the annual budget.
Job Specific Accountabilities

Audit and Compliance
  • Co-ordinates and assists both internal and external auditors in the checking and finalisation of the accounts, prior to submission, to ensure that all figures submitted are correct.
  • Submit Financial information to various authorities & parent company as requested.
Project Feasibility and Analysis
  • Undertakes various feasibility studies for new projects and business ventures in order to analyse the costs involved and benefits from the Project.
  • Suggest accounting impacts for new projects and acquisition as per IFRS.
  • Reports findings to Management, stating whether the proposed venture will be profitable, and makes suggestions for cost-saving changes.
Job Specific Accountabilities

Accounting Standards and Policies
  • Managing IFRS 16 lease end to end accounting.
  • Managing IFRS 9 Expected credit Loss accounting, intangibles impairment assessment.
  • Confirm, reconcile & report Group Company receivables & payable balances.
  • Prepare accounts, Profit Center & Cost Centre in ERP system as per Business Requirement.
  • Perform financial due diligence for various prospective partners.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in accounting in a similar environment
  • Preferable: accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
