Job Title: Security Officer / Security Supervisor
Reports To: Security Manager / Director of Security / General Manager
Job Overview:
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property assets. This role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors. Maintain strict control over keys and access cards.
• Patrol & Inspection: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the property, including parking lots, back-of-house areas, and guest corridors to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Surveillance: Operate and monitor all surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm systems. Report any malfunctions or suspicious activities.
• Incident Response: Respond immediately to security emergencies, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, and threats. Provide first aid and CPR if certified. Complete detailed incident reports.
• Customer Service: Provide a visible and reassuring presence to guests and employees. Offer assistance, such as directions or escorts to vehicles, when requested.
• Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies and procedures. Investigate and document policy violations, accidents, and losses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Act as a liaison for any official investigations on the property.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a security officer or guard, preferably in a hospitality or retail environment.
• Valid security license as required by state/local law.
• CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
