Secondary Science Teacher

for the

Academic Year 2026-2027

GEMS - TBS (The British School El-Rehab).

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative educator who is passionate about teaching science and committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for secondary science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and encourage student participation. Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and a love for science. Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the science curriculum and participate in school events that promote scientific inquiry. Stay current with developments in science education and integrate new findings and techniques into classroom instruction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school. Strong knowledge of the British secondary science curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for science education and motivating students. Commitment to professional development and a collaborative teaching environment.
