Glendale International School, a leading British curriculum school in Dubai, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic

Secondary Science Teacher

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have British Experience Mandatory and a passion for inspiring students through engaging, inquiry-based science lessons. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, supporting student progress across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and contributing to a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons aligned with the

National Curriculum for England

(Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
Plan, prepare, and assess learning to ensure all students make consistently strong progress.
Use a range of teaching strategies, practical experiments, and technology to support active learning and scientific inquiry.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with EAL, SEN, and gifted learners.
Maintain an orderly, safe, and stimulating learning environment following British safeguarding and health & safety standards.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students in line with school and UK assessment requirements.
Prepare students for internal assessments as well as external examinations (e.g.,

GCSE/IGCSE

, if applicable).
Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring high-quality resources and schemes of work are in place.
Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives.
Establish positive relationships with students built on respect, consistency, and high expectations.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and behaviour.
Support and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and enrichment programmes.
