Secondary German Language/Literature - Dubai

The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) is seeking an outstanding and caring IB MYP & DP German Language and Literature Teacher for August 2023. The role is to deliver excellent teaching and learning in the context of the IB MYP (grades 6-10) and IB DP Programme (grades 11 to 12). The successful candidate will be required to teach a minimum of 2 classes in IB MYP German Language & Literature The appointee will be fully qualified and experienced to teach IB MYP & IB DP German Language Acquisition Teacher with a Degree in German Language and a relevant professional teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, teaching diploma or certification and :
  • have relevant recent professional development that qualifies the candidate for this position
  • have extensive international secondary teaching experience of at least 2 years
  • be a first language German speaker
  • have significant experience of delivering the IB MYP and IB DP German Language Acquisition curriculum
In addition the appointee will share in the wider pastoral and co-curricular life of the school. This will include, inter alia, leading at least one extra-curricular activity per week and providing Boarding House support in terms of supporting a group of students as a Tutor at least once a week. Occasional participation in outreach or promotional activities may be required, but every effort will be made to ensure that this request is reasonable and shared equitably amongst all teaching staff. The position is not suitable for NQT\xe2\x80\x99s/ECT\xe2\x80\x99s Remuneration:
