JOB OVERVIEW:

To supervise and coordinate the work of a team of scaffolders, ensuring scaffolding is

erected, modified, and dismantled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

.

What you will do:

Team Supervision & Work Allocation

Lead a team of scaffolders in erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding structures on construction sites. Plan daily work activities, allocate tasks, and monitor team productivity and adherence to safety procedures. Ensure the correct use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Safety & Compliance

Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure the team follows

HSE policies, site safety regulations, and risk assessments

. Inspect scaffolding regularly to ensure structural stability, load capacity, and compliance with safety standards. Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the HSE department and site management.

Technical Execution

Read and interpret scaffolding drawings, site plans, and method statements. Ensure scaffolding is built according to design specifications and can safely support required loads. Verify materials used are in good condition and suitable for the job.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to plan scaffolding needs. Ensure scaffolding is ready in line with construction schedules to avoid delays. Keep clear records of scaffolding erected, inspected, and dismantled.

Team Development & Training

Coach and mentor junior scaffolders to improve skill levels and safety awareness. Assist in on-the-job training of new team members and ensure they understand company safety standards.

What should you have:

Skills & Experience Required

5:7 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role. UAE driving license. Certified Scaffolding Supervisor or Scaffolder Level 3 (CITB/OSHA/Equivalent). Good understanding of load calculations, scaffold design, and erection techniques. Strong knowledge of UAE site safety regulations and international scaffolding standards. Ability to lead, motivate, and monitor a team effectively. Physically fit and capable of working at heights.
