Position Overview
The Salon Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all day-to-day operations of the salon to ensure an exceptional client experience, a positive team environment, and strong business performance. This role includes managing staff, recruiting new talent, maintaining service quality, and introducing new products and services that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staff Management
Recruit, interview, and hire qualified stylists, estheticians, and support staff.
Train, coach, and develop team members to ensure high-quality service standards.
Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales and performance goals.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
2. Daily Operations Oversight
Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the salon, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage appointment scheduling, client flow, and service delivery to maximize customer satisfaction.
Resolve client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of supplies as needed.
Ensure adherence to salon policies, service standards, and brand guidelines.
3. Product & Service Innovation
Identify and introduce new products, treatments, or services that align with market trends and customer needs.
Work with vendors and distributors to evaluate product offerings and negotiate pricing.
Train staff on new product lines and service protocols.
Promote new products and services through in-salon marketing and client education.
4. Business & Financial Management
Support sales targets through product recommendations and service upselling.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, client retention, and retail sales.
Assist with budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Implement strategies to grow the client base and enhance salon profitability.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a salon, spa, or beauty environment, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of beauty products, services, and industry trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
