The key objectives of this role are to identify and develop opportunities in raw material trading in the Middle East and North Africa. The position will also play an essential role in bringing fresh ideas and insights to the team, and supporting other teams in achieving their objectives.
The candidate has a strong commercial background and a track record in sales operations with steel mills, in the metallurgical industry. Fluent English is required. A high level of integrity and experience working in a multinational environment is also essential.
In this position you will:
Develop new customers mainly in the Middle East and North Africa - work autonomously to spot and cultivate key accounts and achieve our sales targets.
Promote and sell raw materials (ferroalloys) across various industries. This includes but is not limited to ferroalloys, chemical, and metallurgical products e.g. metal powders, and rare earth.
Control your costs (travelling etc).
Manage customer/supplier expectations while coordinating with internal teams (marketing, engineering, accounting, financing).
Report to the management team.
Set up a desk and develop a necessary team to fulfil a regional management role in the future
The professional profile includes:
University degree with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the ferroalloy industry
Experience and/or knowledge in the metallurgy preferred
Proven passion for results-driven sales, and a keen eye for new opportunities
Experience in coordinating teams and meeting deadlines
Good team player, who takes the initiative
Fluency in English (verbal and written) required
Another language would be a plus
Technical knowledge of metallurgy and the steel industry
Being able to travel frequently
