Proactively identify and pursue new event sales opportunities in the corporate and social markets
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize event revenues
Conduct site visits and property tours for potential clients, showcasing our venue's unique features and capabilities
Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve optimal profitability while meeting client needs
Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., catering, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless event execution
Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts in our sales management system
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and pricing decisions
Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships and generate leads
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients
Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly and professionally
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets consistently
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event sales, preferably within luxury hotels or high-end venues
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the events industry
Strong understanding of event planning, execution, and industry best practices
Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to structure win-win deals
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with event management software (e.g., Opera Cloud OSEM)
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
In-depth knowledge of the local Doha market and event industry trends
* Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus
