About the Job:

The main purpose of this role is to drive MICE and corporate sales initiatives and fostering relationships with business clients to maximize revenue. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, to effectively manage and network existing accounts and to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure comprehensive and complete coverage of own portfolio, covering all levels of accounts for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity.
  • Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage to client contacts.
  • Establish client base of individuals, organizations (DMC, EMC), associations, social, and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling to secure business for the hotel to ensure that room night sales and revenue goals are met or exceeded.
  • Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines.
  • Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue
  • Responsible for 100% account penetration by establishing close relationships at all levels within the assigned accounts.
  • Gains understanding of the location\'s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include all hotel departments.
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.
  • Entertain clients in accordance with established company and hotel policies and guidelines.
  • Attend industry & association networking events in order to broaden relevant commercial contacts.
  • Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings.
  • Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Business or Hospitality related degree from an internationally recognized institution
  • A minimum of 1 year in a sales role in a five-star luxury hotel industry including a good understanding of Mice and Corporate segments
  • Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Understanding & experience of basic revenue management practices
  • Proven experience in MICE and corporate sales
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. technical competencies
  • Strong sales and presentation skills.
  • Friendly, pleasant and easy to be around, draw energy from being with others
  • Segment knowledge + skills including principled negotiation, contracting and service level agreements.
