Key Responsibilities and Duties
Sales & Business Development (Focus: Gross Profit Generation)
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate new markets, acquire high-potential accounts, and maximize Gross Profit (GP) from the assigned portfolio.
Achieve and consistently surpass the defined KPI of generating Gross Profit equivalent to the cost of employment/operational expenses.
Actively prospect, qualify, and secure new business focusing on core services:
Air Freight (Import/Export)
Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL)
Customs Clearance and Regulatory Compliance
Warehousing and Distribution
Develop, present, and negotiate profitable, long-term service contracts with potential and existing clients, ensuring optimal pricing and healthy margins.
Account Management & Customer Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, thoroughly understanding their international supply chain needs to provide tailored, integrated logistics solutions.
Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to identify additional cross-selling/up-selling opportunities and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate closely with the Operations, Documentation, and Finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and accurate, timely financial processes.
Market & Industry Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, trade lanes dynamics, and pricing strategies in the regional and global logistics landscape.
Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts, detailed pipeline reports, and comprehensive profit analyses to senior management.
Maintain all sales activities and customer information accurately within the company's designated CRM system.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct B2B sales experience exclusively in the Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or 3PL/Logistics industry.
Mandatory:
A verifiable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding demanding sales and
Gross Profit targets
in a target-driven environment.
In-depth practical knowledge of global trade routes, Incoterms 2020, international customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
Proven ability to analyze complex logistics requirements and formulate profitable solutions.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and flexibility for frequent travel
within the region for client acquisition.
