The Elevator Sales Engineer is responsible for selling elevator & Dumbwaiter solutions by combining technical expertise with sales skills. The role involves developing customized vertical transportation solutions, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to secure profitable projects.
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, and end clients
Pre-Sales Engineering & Technical Assessment
Conduct detailed site surveys to assess building structure, shaft dimensions.
Analyse architectural and structural drawings to determine optimal elevator configurations
Select appropriate elevator types (traction, hydraulic, MRL, panoramic, freight, hospital, etc.
Proposal Development & Tendering
Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs and tenders
Sales Negotiation & Contract Finalization
Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties
Ensure contracts accurately reflect technical scope, specifications, and commercial agreements
Support legal and finance teams during contract review and finalization
Post-Sales & Customer Satisfaction
Act as the primary technical-commercial point of contact until project completion
Support testing, commissioning, and handover to maintenance teams
Address customer concerns to ensure high satisfaction and future business
Market Intelligence & Strategy Support
Track competitor products, pricing, and market positioning
Provide feedback on customer needs and emerging market trends
Support product development and marketing strategies
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts, and variations.
Update CRM systems and sales forecasts regularly.
