The Sales and Marketing Director is a strategic leader responsible for formulating and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and cultivate lasting customer relationships within the wholesale and distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and objectives to achieve revenue targets and enhance market share.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, comprising sales managers, representatives, and account executives.
  • Establish sales targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and monitor performance, ensuring goals are consistently met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and product niches for targeted initiatives.
Marketing Strategy and Planning:
  • Create and execute marketing plans aligning with sales strategies to generate leads, bolster brand awareness, and support the sales team.
  • Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives, including online advertising, social media, email campaigns, and content marketing.
  • Monitor and report on marketing campaign performance, making adjustments as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies ensuring ongoing business and loyalty.
  • Gather customer feedback and leverage it to enhance the overall customer experience.
Product Knowledge and Pricing:
  • Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive products.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align product offerings with market demand.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies balancing profitability and competitiveness.
Financial Management:
  • Monitor and manage sales and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze sales data, marketing Return on Investment (ROI), and other relevant financial metrics.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team regarding sales and marketing performance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Compliance and Ethics:
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with company policies.
  • Promote ethical business practices, maintaining a positive company reputation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably within the wholesale and distribution industry.
  • Strong understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
