Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential health and safety hazards. Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local and national regulations. Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, or near misses and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for hazard control and risk mitigation. Provide safety training and induction sessions for new employees and contractors. Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and other safety-related activities. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a positive safety culture. Stay updated with changes in safety legislation and best practices to ensure compliance. Participate in safety meetings and committees as required.

Requirements:

NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a must. Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
