Job Title: Safety Officer
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Safety, Engineering, or related field
Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent (preferred not mandatory)
Knowledge of HSE standards and regulations
Good communication and training skills
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and risks
Ensure compliance with local safety laws, regulations, and company standards
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and contractors
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports
Recommend corrective and preventive actions to minimize safety risks
Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records as per audit requirements
Coordinate with site management to ensure safe execution of work activities
Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety, and first-aid arrangements
