Safety Officers

to monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across our project sites.

Role Overview

The

Safety Officer

will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SHES (Safety, Health, Environment & Security) requirements, company policies, and client expectations. This role requires knowledge of hazard identification, incident prevention, and safety assurance in live Oil & Gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with

Qatargas SHES requirements and HSE regulations

. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Enforce PPE usage and safe working practices across all operations. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns. Report unsafe acts, incidents, and near misses to HSE management. Assist in preparing

incident/accident investigation reports

. Support Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance. Liaise with client SHES representatives for alignment with EPC-3 standards.
Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas safety experience (Qatar/GCC preferred).

Certification:

NEBOSH IGC (mandatory) or equivalent, in line with EPC-3 SHES Critical Position requirements. Additional HSE certifications (OSHA, ISO 45001, H2S, Confined Space, First Aid/CPR) are an advantage. Strong communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
