Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Safety Engineer / LEED-Certified Engineer with 5+ years of experience

to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance on-site, while also ensuring the integration of green building practices aligned with LEED certification standards. This dual-role position is ideal for projects requiring strict safety management and sustainable design implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to workers and staff. Monitor work activities to ensure use of proper PPE, safe equipment, and safe work practices. Maintain site safety records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure a strong safety culture.

LEED & Sustainability Responsibilities:

Oversee the implementation of LEED strategies as per project certification goals (e.g., LEED BD+C, ID+C, or O+M). Review materials, systems, and construction practices to ensure sustainability goals are met. Coordinate LEED documentation and submission to USGBC or relevant certifying bodies. Work with design and construction teams to integrate energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction strategies. Educate project stakeholders on LEED requirements and promote sustainable construction practices. Assist with commissioning and post-occupancy evaluations related to green building performance.
