We are hiring a Rust Engineer for a 3-month remote contract to work on an AI-driven project creating high-quality training and evaluation datasets for Large Language Models (LLMs). This role combines advanced Rust programming with real-world open-source repository integration and containerized environments.

Position Overview
In this role, you will work with AI research teams to analyze GitHub repositories, set up environments using Docker, validate bug fixes, and execute real-world codebases to test LLM performance. It's a unique opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems while contributing to the future of AI.
What You'll Do

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open-source repositories.
• Configure and manage development environments with Docker and CI/CD workflows.
• Assess code quality, review unit test coverage, and validate functionality.
• Modify and run real-world projects to benchmark and evaluate LLM behavior.
• Collaborate with researchers on repository selection and AI model evaluation processes.
• Optionally lead and mentor junior engineers contributing to project tasks.

Ideal Profile

• 3-4+ years of practical Rust programming experience.
• Strong understanding of Docker, Git, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to work with complex open-source projects and debug efficiently.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows, issue triaging, and large-scale repository handling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
