Job Description

We are seeking an

experienced Network & Security Engineer

to join our

Roads Management Centre (RMC)

. The role involves

designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing data networks

, coordinating with system integrators, and overseeing

network lifecycle activities

to support Qatar's road operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize

network infrastructure

. Oversee

Network Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation, and Optimization (PDIOO)

. Coordinate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to align

network strategy with business goals

. Manage

1st and 2nd line support

for Regional Network Management Control Room. Support

complex network upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting

. Mentor

junior engineers

and provide escalation support for advanced technologies. Collaborate with Cisco TAC for escalated issues and advanced troubleshooting. Ensure integration and operation of

Cisco switches, routers, WLC, ISE, firewalls, and endpoint security

.

Requirements

Essential:

? 10+ years' experience in

network security roles

? CCNA in

Routing & Switching

? Hands-on experience with

firewalls, IPS, and endpoint security products

? Familiarity with

Cisco switches, routers, WLC, and ISE integration

? Strong troubleshooting, operational, and project coordination skills

Desirable:

Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) Exposure to

Asset Affairs business functions

VMware vSphere / virtualization experience Voice/networking experience

Technical Skills

Experience with

Cisco FTD, Fortigate, Palo Alto firewalls

Hands-on with

ISE policies, SIEM tools (NetFlow Analyzer, Solarwinds, Stealthwatch)

DNS/DHCP servers (Microsoft & Infoblox) TACACS / RADIUS configuration VLANs, trunking, spanning-tree, VRFs, NAT, static/dynamic routes, access-lists/security policies VMware and Windows Active Directory operational knowledge
