We are looking for professional remote interpreters fluent in Romanian and English who want to join an international company and support clear communication across cultures. As an Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) / Video Remote Interpreter (VRI), you will provide accurate and professional interpretation between Romanian and English speakers across different industries, with a primary focus on healthcare and medical interpretation. You will ensure accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in every conversation.

Your background and experience:

Answer calls professionally, following the interpreter's code of conduct.
Take accurate notes during calls to ensure message integrity.
Use industry-specific terminology, especially in healthcare and medical fields
Render all messages completely and accurately--without adding, omitting, or substituting.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality.
Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients.
Participate in internal professional training sessions.
Be open to obtaining new professional certifications.
Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.
Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.
Requirements:

Native fluency in Romanian and fluent in English.
Minimum of 1 year of professional OPI or VRI experience with a recognized interpretation provider.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology; awareness of legal terminology is a plus.
International healthcare interpretation certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are an advantage.
High school diploma in your native language.
High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse cultures.
Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
