Position Overview:

Orchid Engineering Consultants in Dubai

, is Looking for an amazingly talented a

Draftsman (Roads & Utilities)

to join immediately to our team, where he is responsible for preparing technical drawings, layouts, and detailed designs for Urban roadways & highways, and others infrastructure utilities. He will work closely with Team Design engineers, surveyors, to develop accurate and precise drawings that adhere to Codes standards Code, and project requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft Road Designs:

Create the road alignments, cross-sections, profiles, and grading plans based on topographic survey and Design team and engineering data.

Infrastructure Layouts:

Prepare utility layouts, drainage systems, sewer networks, and other infrastructure components.

Coordinate with Teams Engineers:

Work closely with Team design engineers to ensure the Roads designs meet technical and

regulatory

Standards and client requirements.

Revise Drawings:

Update and modify drawings based on feedback from Team design engineers, clients, and project stakeholders.

Prepare Technical Drawings:

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for roads, highways, and infrastructure projects.

Prepare As-Built Drawings:

Document changes made during construction for final records.

Ensure Compliance:

Follow local standards, codes, and project specifications in all drafting work.

Maintain Documentation:

Organize and store project drawings, blueprints, and other design files systematically.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Roads drafting /design Courses, or a related certificate in this field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Civil 3D (desired MicroStation software)

. Knowledge of

road design standards

(AASHTO, DOT, local codes). Experience with

survey data and GIS integration

is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum

5-10 years

of experience in roads and infrastructure drafting. Based in UAE.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to Roads Design details and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
