Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Draughtsman

to support the development of civil infrastructure projects related to roadways, utilities, drainage systems, and other public infrastructure for

RTA

,

DEWA

, and

Municipality

projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing technical drawings that comply with local regulations and be able to effectively navigate the submission and approval process for

No Objection Certificates (NOCs)

. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid

UAE driving license

, as site visits and coordination with various authorities may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:

Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, and schematics for civil infrastructure projects, including roadworks, utilities (water, electricity), and drainage systems. Work with civil engineers to translate conceptual designs into accurate and high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Produce both 2D and 3D models for presentation and project review.

Compliance with Local Standards:

Ensure that all design drawings adhere to the specific codes, standards, and regulations set by

RTA

,

DEWA

, and the

Municipality

. Stay updated on the latest requirements and best practices for infrastructure design and regulatory submissions in the UAE.

NOC Submission and Coordination:

Assist in preparing and submitting project documentation to obtain

No Objection Certificates (NOCs)

from

RTA

,

DEWA

, and

Municipality

authorities. Ensure that all drawings and documentation submitted for NOC approvals are complete and comply with the authorities' requirements. Act as a liaison between project teams and authorities to ensure smooth approval processes.

Site Visits and As-Built Drawings:

Conduct site visits when required to collect data and verify construction conditions, ensuring that designs reflect actual field conditions. Update and revise drawings to create accurate

as-built drawings

based on field changes or site conditions.

Documentation Management:

Maintain a well-organized filing system for drawings, design documents, approvals, and correspondence. Ensure all revisions are properly tracked, recorded, and integrated into the final documentation.

Quality Control:

Review and check the quality of all design drawings to ensure they meet project specifications and the standards of the relevant authorities. Ensure that the drawings are error-free and delivered within the project deadlines.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely with the engineering team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and efficient workflow. Provide regular updates on drawing progress and any issues related to regulatory approvals.

Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of

2-5 years

of experience as a Draughtsman in civil infrastructure, particularly with exposure to

RTA

,

DEWA

, and

Municipality NOC

requirements. Prior experience in preparing detailed infrastructure drawings such as roads, drainage systems, utilities (water, power), and related civil works is essential.

Software Skills:

Proficient in

AutoCAD

,

Civil 3D

, and other design software. Familiarity with

BIM

(Building Information Modeling) tools is an advantage.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of

UAE

civil engineering standards, regulations, and procedures related to

RTA

,

DEWA

, and the

Municipality

. Experience with the

NOC approval process

and knowledge of relevant submission guidelines for infrastructure projects.

Language Skills:

Fluency in

English

(both written and spoken).

Arabic

language skills are a plus.

Other Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with team members and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

UAE Driving License

(Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid UAE driving license as this will be useful for site visits and coordination with external parties.)

Knowledge of UAE Laws and Regulations:

In-depth knowledge of UAE municipal and government regulations pertaining to civil infrastructure projects.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify challenges in the design phase and propose effective solutions.

Additional Notes:

The

Draughtsman

should be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision. A

UAE driving license

is highly preferred, as the role may require occasional site visits to gather data, ensure designs align with field conditions, or coordinate with external authorities. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with strict project timelines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
