RMC Brand Manager

What this position is about - Purpose:

The incumbent will work very closely with the Marketing Director and set the overall strategic direction for Ready Made Cigarettes (RMC) brand portfolio in alignment with consumer dynamic and opportunity.

The incumbent will also formulate trade, consumer, channel and distribution strategies, manage pricing, define the investment and resource allocation, set and measure overall portfolio brand contribution. He/She will work in close collaboration with different departments in the organization (namely Brand Group, R&D, Sales, TCA, Finance, Legal, and CA&C) to ensure translation of defined strategies and objectives into plans and programs with the goal of meeting KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.

What will you do - Responsibilities:
  • Guide the implementation of various portfolio & brand strategies into detailed marketing plans in line with business objectives and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s. This includes direct involvement in shaping JTI\'s ASP , and Business Reviews. It also includes performance of regular brand analysis (using Nielsen, PWC reports, JTI Tracker, and market visit data) to ensure the strategy is adequately updated on a regular basis, and the execution of declared initiatives on time with respect to commitments made to upper management.
  • Oversee the development and planning of TTL communication in cooperation with creative agencies to deliver a consistent message to adult consumers in the retail and digital channels (such as brand websites).
  • Support the development of JTI business in all trade channels by leveraging all tools (both analog and digital) to deliver the brand message to retail ambassadors. Develop an optimal channel strategy to focus on improving brand distribution, visibility, awareness, image and equity.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and with JTI\'s operations/marketing standards while coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the execution of promotional/advertising material creation and placement (including in the digital & B2B channels). This includes budget planning in ASP and budget monitoring throughout the year to ensure that commitments are delivered on and that budget is invested in line with the annual plan. This does not include budget planning and execution of Permanent POSM.
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
  • BA / BA in Marketing, MBA / Masters is a plus
  • At least 6-8 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience in relation to FMCG or a regulated sector such as pharmaceuticals is a plus. Local knowledge of the region and cultural sensitivity are required, together with a practical, competitive and solution orientated mindset.
  • English and Arabic (fluent spoken and writing)
