The Restaurant Captain oversees the dining area, supervises the service staff, and ensures guests receive exceptional service. This role acts as a link between the front-of-house team and management, ensuring smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests professionally and courteously.
Supervise waitstaff and assign sections and tasks.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
Ensure timely and correct service of food and drinks to guests.
Monitor table settings, cleanliness, and overall dining room appearance.
Handle guest complaints or concerns efficiently and professionally.
Train and mentor junior service staff (waiters, runners, etc.).
Ensure proper billing and payment procedures.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and grooming.
Assist in daily opening and closing duties of the restaurant.
