Reservations Agent
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Head Waiter
Job Summary:
The Reservations Agent is the first point of contact for guests and is crucial in managing the restaurant's seating inventory and guest database. This role requires exceptional communication skills, meticulous organization, and a hospitable telephone manner to create a positive first impression and optimize table turnover.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online booking platforms (e.g., Resy, OpenTable).
  • Accurately input and manage reservations, noting special requests, allergies, and occasions.
  • Strategically manage the reservation book to maximize seating capacity and smooth service flow.
  • Maintain and update the guest database, logging preferences and visit history.
  • Confidently handle waitlists, reservation changes, and cancellations.
  • Communicate reservation details and special requests to the management and service team.
  • Provide clear information about the restaurant's policies, menus, and location.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in reservations, reception, or a customer service role.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and clear, professional communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with reservation software.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work calmly during busy periods.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a welcoming and helpful attitude.
