1. Design, lead, direct, and conduct original and innovative research in the specialty aligned with the national priorities, as stated in QU strategic plan and Qatar National Vision 2030.
2. Intensively participate in the current research projects and develop proposals for new internally and externally funded projects in which he or she will serve mainly as a Lead Principal Investigator (LPI)
3. Generate impactful publications in indexed journals as per expectations from a faculty in the research professor rank and as per internal guidelines of the department or the center
4. Supervise or co-supervise undergraduate and graduate students and junior staff in their research projects and contribute to assigned minimal teaching and other related tasks.
5. Ensure the quality of research data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
6. Provide opportunities, initiatives, reports, and improve research policies and procedures.
7. Represent the center in scientific gatherings and outreach activities to disseminate research knowledge and information about the center.
8. Contribute to center management and participate in the various center\'s committees and working groups, including help in staff recruitment, performance, and evaluation as per his/her assignment.
9. Ensure coordination, administrative, and technical assistance.
10. Ensure the validity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of research projects.
11. Perform other research tasks and duties that may be occasionally requested to meet the role\'s requirements and the research center\'s strategic plan.
Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate from a reputable university in the relevant discipline
• Outstanding record of publication in refereed journals.
• A minimum of five years spent in the associate professor rank or equivalent experience after appointment as a research professor.
• The candidate should demonstrate research vision and ability, and knowledge in research with solid technical and communication skills.
• A clear research vision and record of publications in indexed journals and funding related to one or more of the research group\'s core area
• A strong track record of success in attaining research funding and grants
