Job Description
The research involves characterization of different promising landraces of wheat for drought and thermal tolerance. Specifically, the study involves field experimentation of landraces in comparison with locally grown cultivars. Conducting organized research involving sample collection of plants and soil, laboratory assays for stress parameters. Drought combative phenotypic parameters, biochemical, physiological and, nutritive parameters etc. will be analyzed. The results have to be justified by utilizing appropriate statistical methods and interpretations with recent literature review.
Minimum Qualification
Masters in Horticulture/Plant science/related field
Preferred Qualification
PhD in Horticulture, Plant Science,
Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
Expected skills / rank / experience: Skills in Biochemical analysis, Enzyme assays, Molecular techniques, especially in marker assisted techniques, Laboratory skills in various analytical procedures
