This Relationship Manager role supports the Contracting segment within First Abu Dhabi Bank by originating business, managing large and complex account portfolios, strengthening sensitive client relationships, and ensuring strong credit quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed client, industry, and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Originate new business opportunities across FAB banking products in alignment with policies and governance requirements.
  • Prepare and support development of Term Sheets, Information Memorandums, Mandate Letters, and deal structures.
  • Evaluate and resolve credit, market, and operational risk concerns in coordination with product and enablement teams.
  • Maintain high credit quality within the assigned client portfolio.
  • Pitch, negotiate, and conclude sophisticated transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision makers in the banking and contracting sectors.
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments.
  • Recommend policy amendments to stay aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Achieve assigned financial and non-financial targets across borrowing and non-borrowing products.
  • Prepare and maintain Account Plans in collaboration with product and international banking teams.
  • Support annual and periodic credit facility reviews and identify downgrade or upgrade opportunities.
  • Maintain complete control of documentation, periodic visits, credit checks, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Organize meetings with senior internal stakeholders to deepen client relationships.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and enhance overall client returns.
  • Support clients' day-to-day banking requirements through coordinated team support.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and achieve targeted NPS scores.
  • Follow disciplined marketing and prospecting strategies.
  • Onboard new clients and support their journey across FAB's offerings.
Collaboration
  • Align with contracting division teams to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with other business units to drive cross-BU collaboration and develop proposition strategies.
  • Collaborate with risk, cash management, trade finance, retail banking, private banking, and international banking to deliver full-service solutions.
  • Support bank-wide and divisional initiatives as required.
Operational
  • Follow all policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements to maintain controlled and compliant operations.
  • Conduct regular risk reviews including credit, operational, and compliance assessments.
  • Oversee daily administrative tasks including client calls, documentation follow-up, and portfolio pipeline management.
  • Ensure KYC/AML compliance for all existing and new clients.
  • Submit credit reviews on time and adhere to agreed conditions.
  • Maintain organized client files and uphold audit standards.
  • Achieve KPIs related to ORM, BCP, and internal audit.
  • Prepare accurate statements and reports to meet unit requirements.
Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members, acting as a strong role model.
  • Manage hiring, coaching, and performance development of the team.
  • Resolve internal or external conflicts quickly and effectively.
  • Oversee individual and team achievements toward financial performance goals.
