About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager who will direct and manage multiple operations related to taxes and deliver tax services. This role will be primarily in charge of managing and leading the tax and transfer pricing matters in the Gulf interacting with the local divisions and the Group Tax, Customs and Transfer Pricing Department based in the European HQs.

Main Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for consolidating and maintaining the internal policies in line with the tax legislations across the Gulf Region. He/She should have a good background and knowledge of the main Tax and T.P practice and regulation set up at OECD level.

He/she will be also the finance regional point of contact for the Customs and VAT aspects reporting to the Group.

He/she will be also in charge of monitoring the T.P. documentation rules in the Gulf Region and shall also support the tax reporting processes and tax internal assessments between the different Countries of the Region and the Global Principal Company based in Luxembourg. For this purpose, a good knowledge of the tax accounting standards is required.

The candidate is accountable for ensuring tax compliance and tax risk management, proactive and able to deal in a multinational contexts interacting at different level both with internal divisions and external subjects (such as tax Authorities and External Consultants).

As the Regional Tax Manager, the incumbent will monitor regional tax and customs changes in legislations and regulations to anticipate risks and opportunities.

Who we are looking for?

Ideally, the candidate has at least 6 to 8 years of experience within a multinational and/or a big 4 firm, has a finance academic background, a proven knowledge of the Gulf Tax and Customs systems and knowledge of the main tax and transfer pricing international standards.

A good knowledge of the Double Tax Treaties and Free Trade Agreements mechanisms is required in order to properly assist the management on the cross-border transactions. In addition, the candidate should have a good knowledge of accounting principles and willing to support the creation and the development of the internal Gulf Tax and Customs Center of Excellence.

A particular focus will be expected in relation with the tax compliance, analysis, planning and risk & opportunities in view of the introduction of the New Tax Law in the United Arab Emirates (He/she should have already analyzed and studied the main pillars of the New Tax Law).

Knowledge of Excel, MS Office and SAP is required.

Fluency in English and Arabic languages (written and spoken) are a must for this role. The candidate should have strong communication skills as in this role will require collaboration with different stakeholders.
