The Position We are currently looking for a Diabetes Regional Medical Advisor who will be providing medical and scientific support for doctors, other healthcare professionals and colleagues in support of business opportunities and strategic objectives taking into account short-, medium-, and long-term local business needs in in GLP-1 Diabetes therapy area. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing leadership in diabetes and access to Novo Nordisk (NN) products in Saudi Arabia through providing quality medical and scientific support to clinicians (mainly influencers), other healthcare professionals (HCPs - nurses, pharmacists, etc.) and colleagues. The main outcome of the job is to ensure KOLs, and specialists are aware of and understand the scientific basis for and clinical usefulness of our compounds within GLP-1 Diabetes Therapy area.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Build and update scientific and medical knowledge about the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk products, dedicating time to search for relevant information about new developments and competitors’ products.
• Apply and disseminate knowledge and use of scientific/clinical expertise with internal and external stakeholders as a result of comprehensive analysis of their needs, aiming to improve overall patient outcomes.
• Identify, list and communicate with KOLs and HCPs in the practice setting (e.g., academic centres, investigators, ISSs research site) to update their understanding of relevant data in each context, as well as to build and maintain relationships to facilitate scientific exchange.
• Develop professional relationships with key internal stakeholders and external one to anticipate their needs and provide them with value-adding solutions involving Novo Nordisk products.
• Supporting Medico-Marketing scientific activities to enhance the growth of our current & future diabetes portfolio.
• Attend scientific events or symposia and support the medical affairs team providing medical information when appropriate, improving their own scientific and medical knowledge and developing professional relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Design and implement medical education programs to support the shaping/growing of our targeted markets in the diabetes area.

Qualifications We require you to have at least 2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven experience in the diabetes area. It’s expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medicine. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and Arabic, and a willingness to travel inside Saudi Arabia.
To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:

• Computer skills required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows)
• Experience in dealing with diabetes stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence
• Strong organizational skills, including efficiency and collaboration in a team environment
• Strong sense of ethics and integrity
