This position is based in Bahrain and covers both Bahrain and Oman and directly reports to the GLP1-Diabetes Medical Manager.

The position As a Regional Medical Advisor, you are expected to have a solid understanding of scientific data for training purposes and are expected to design, help and/or coordinate educational programs and workshops. The role demands spending time both in-office as well as in the field. In this role you have a 70% field responsibility, supporting the Diabetes therapeutic area. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and executing medical plans including KOL engagements Providing scientific guidance and contribution to medical-marketing strategy and tactics Providing scientific speaker support for medical educational events Organizing National Advisory Boards Organizing medical training for employees (disease area, product, and competitor updates). To establish leadership in Diabetes and access to Novo Nordisk (NN) products in Bahrain and Oman through providing quality medical and scientific support to clinicians (mainly influencers), other healthcare professionals (HCPs - nurses, pharmacists, etc.), and colleagues.

Qualifications We expect you to have 1-2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the medical affairs department. It's expected to hold a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science or a bachelor's degree in Medicine. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English. To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have: Proficient level of presentation and communication skills. Ability to work with a large volume of data and a good understanding of medical statistics. Previous experience in metabolic disease area desirable, however willingness to learn and progress in Diabetes therapy is most important. Understanding various comorbidities and diseases linked to diabetes. Driving license. Preferably knows Arabic language. Ability to understand and efficiently communicate complicated scientific data and are to work with cross-functional stakeholders. You are driven, can take initiative, and are agile in your actions.

About the department You will join the Clinical, Medical, Regulatory & Quality Unit, ambitious and dynamic team that is looking to significantly expand and accelerate growth in 2023. This position will report to Medical Manager for Diabetes.
