This position is based in Dubai and covering all the Emirates. As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will be a member of the Medical Affairs team and you will report directly to the Diabetes Medical Manager.

The position

As Regional Medical Advisor, you will contribute actively to building and maintaining a scientific understanding of Novo Nordisk marketed products and to the development of portfolio products. You will also share up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data with internal and external stakeholders and leverage scientific and clinical expertise to create relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and other healthcare decision-makers.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Build and update scientific and medical knowledge about Novo Nordisk products, dedicating time to search for relevant information about new developments
  • Map, list and communicate with KOLs and HCPs in the practice setting to provide them with current, accurate & balanced scientific data, as well as to build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships to facilitate scientific exchange
  • Develop professional relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Access, MCE) and external ones (e.g., KOLs, healthcare professionals, investigators & speakers) to anticipate their needs and provide them with value-adding solutions involving Novo Nordisk products
  • Pre-launch & product launch preparation including medical plan execution, training, KOL mapping & site identification. As well as, providing clinical support through planning & execution of RWE in the affiliate.
  • Help to coordinate cycle meetings and internal training (e.g., educational programs and workshops) for internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing), complying with administrative duties and legal regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

As a Medical Advisor, you need to be action-oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, a team player who is customer-focused with good peer relationships, and an innovative thinker with strong project management skills.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in a reputable pharmaceutical company
  • Pharma, Medical, or scientific degree such as Pharm D is a must; Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in metabolic disease area is a plus
  • Extensive experience in Diabetes, Cardiovascular or Obesity is preferred
  • Ability to travel across all the Emirates (80% in the field)
  • Strong Communication skills, strong professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Excellent command over both written and spoken English
  • Demonstrate KOL interaction at regional and national levels & product launch experience.

Clinical, Medical, Regulatory & Pharmacovigilance (CMRPV) is a dynamic and diverse department consisting of highly qualified professionals who are responsible for conducting real-world evidence, interactions with medical professionals and regulatory authorities for current therapy areas such as Diabetes, Obesity, and Rare Diseases as well as other related current and new therapy areas. Medical affairs are the core leaders in driving scientific exchange with health care professionals in addition to being the bridge between relevant stakeholders and delivering insights across the functions, ensuring medical compliance to ultimately meet Novo Nordisk\'s promise, improving patients\xe2\x80\x99 lives. Regulatory and PV (Pharmacovigilance) strive to ensure the best and the fastest strategies for New Drug applications and maintain licenses to operate besides delivering PV excellence, audit, and inspection readiness.
