Our European client is a global manufacturer of complex technical systems. With a strong historic background and a very innovative business acumen, the company developed on an international scale, currently consisting of over 40 international subsidiaries and large-scale production plants. As a Controller, you are actively contributing to the further development of the business across the UAE due to your own implemented financial and data processing procedures. The right candidate will financially advice the senior management as well as closely collaborate with the local production facilities, significantly enhancing the overall financial performance.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Oversee as well as implement appropriate financial activities across the plants in the UAE
Closely collaborate with Plant Managers to enhance the financial performance of work flows, conducting analysis and data processing
Develop methodologies to evaluate financial performance, particularly focusing on cost-cutting measures
Conduct precise reviews and create an updated reporting and planning structure of the production plants
Evaluate current operational policies and practices within the financial department and strive to drive continuous improvement in all financial matters
Responsible for budgeting, financial data analysis, record-keeping and financial reporting to senior management
Coordinate investment activities as well as personnel planning
Analyze the financial impact of major business operational issues and decisions as well as analyzing sales, P&L and balance sheet
Review accounting entries on a regular basis in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness, maintaining a strict confidentiality of operational, financial and business information
Communicate financial and other KPI information across all decision-making levels within the company
Coordinate with all departments regarding analyzing, evaluating and reporting appropriate data points
Direct reporting to the Commercial Director
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:
University degree in finance and controlling or similar qualification
Minimum of five years of working experience as Controller in a multinational company
Strong knowledge about cost and business controlling in a manufacturing business environment
Professional working experience within the Middle East would be an advantage
Extensive analytical skills and knowledge about controlling tools
Excellent knowledge in MS-Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, additional SAP skills desirable
Ability to prioritize competing needs under pressure, oversee multiple projects, and manage workflows
Fluent English language skills are mandatory
Confident communication and presentations skills
Team player with a proactive and hands-on approach
