The role will support the Regional Financial Controller MEA in managing credit control function for the region, setting up best practices and process improvements. OPPORTUNITES
You will set the strategic direction for the credit control function while demonstrating a superior understanding of the business to maximize cash collections.
You will identify, drive efficiencies and simplification to enhance cash conversion cycle.
You will consolidate and present weekly to corporate management, along with Regional Controller; the cash collections, forecast and risks & opps.
You will guide and strategically work with sub regional credit controllers to achieve quarterly and annual cash collection targets.
You will implement and improve strategies for effective collections to minimize overdue debts, reduce days sales outstanding (DSOs).
You will monitor and report on aged receivables, highlight potential risks and opportunities to management and work proactively to manage risk & realize opportunities.
You will work closely with business teams to address customer queries and concerns.
You will lead discussions with customer for any complex settlements to deliver best results.
You will provide input in assessing creditworthiness and identifying potential risks for new customers.
You will proactively assess, monitor and forewarn the management on trends, rules & regulations around contracting, payment approvals in different countries/geographies, advise mitigation of any risks.
You will coordinate and arrange customer visits, if needed.
You will assist Regional Financial Controller MEA for any ad hoc reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
You should have a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
You should have previous experience (5-7 years) in a similar role or a related finance role.
You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills working with teams in different countries, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
You should have strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve payment issues and disputes.
You should have excellent MS-excel skills.
You should have prior exposure to a multinational/multicultural environment.
You should have a very good knowledge of English. Arabic and/or French is advantageous.
You should be able to work under pressure.
