Job Title: Receptionist cum Call Center Agent (with Medical Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Receptionist cum Call Center Agent with at least 1 year of medical experience to join our healthcare facility. This position requires a person who is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, a customer-centric attitude, and the ability to manage both in-person and phone-based customer service duties efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Greet and check in patients and visitors upon arrival.
Verify and update patient information in the system, ensuring accuracy of medical records.
Answer and direct phone calls promptly and professionally.
Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars.
Assist with patient check-out and ensure that any necessary follow-ups are communicated.
Provide general information to patients and visitors regarding healthcare services, policies, and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Call Center Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls from patients and healthcare providers, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments via phone.
Address patient inquiries related to appointments, medical billing, and services.
Provide patients with information on medical procedures, office hours, and directions.
Assist with handling patient complaints, ensuring they are addressed or directed to appropriate staff for resolution.
Medical Experience Responsibilities:
Use medical knowledge to assist patients with basic health-related questions (within the scope of receptionist duties).
Understand and use medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare providers.
Assist in ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
Communicate with medical staff to ensure patient needs and schedules are aligned with the facility's operations.
Support the medical office by providing clerical assistance as needed, including filing and organizing medical records.
Administrative Support:
Ensure accurate data entry and management of patient files.
Process patient forms, insurance information, and other necessary documentation.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
Manage inventory and office supplies as necessary.
Handle billing inquiries and process payments where applicable.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of medical office or healthcare experience.
High school diploma or equivalent; medical or healthcare certification is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare environments.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Strong customer service skills and a compassionate attitude towards patients.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a call center or receptionist role in a medical or healthcare setting.
Bilingual (English/ Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam) is a plus.
