Reactor Engineering Advisory UAE

The duration of this onsite support service is one (1) year.

The following reactor engineering activities shall be supported by the previous job experience:

Directly supporting key issues such as reactivity management and improving RE interface with Operations,
Performance of core monitoring activities,
Monitoring fuel performance,
Reviewing/revising procedures and processes to improve performance to best industry practices,
Developing and implementing required human performance tools in procedures and processes according to best industry practices in reactor engineering,
Reviewing performance and knowledge level of less experienced engineers to determine gaps in training and performance
Developing mentoring and performance enhancement plans to improve performance of less experienced engineers
Preparing monthly reports of activities and issues addressed

The individual should have 10+ years of experience in the following areas:

System and reactor engineering responsibilities including:
- Preparation and implementation of fuel receipt activities,
- Development of initial startup test procedures,
- Software acceptance testing of the plant computer,
- Test director during initial startup, and
- Development of reactor engineering programs.
Reactor engineering responsibilities of all aspects of reactor engineering functions during normal plant operations and refueling outages
System engineering responsibilities including:
- Nuclear instrumentation,
- Rod control,
- Fuel handling, and
- Flux mapping.
