Reach Truck Operator
Job Title: Reach Truck Operator / Warehouse Forklift Operator
Department: Warehouse, Logistics, Distribution Center
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor or Logistics Manager
Summary:
The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of products and materials within a warehouse distribution center using a stand-up reach truck forklift. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and fulfilling customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a stand-up reach truck forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
• Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and move them to designated storage areas.
• Accurately put away incoming inventory in high-level storage racks (often over 20 feet high).
• Pick customer orders from storage racks and prepare them for shipping.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation safety checks on the forklift and maintain a clean equipment log.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Radio Frequency (RF) scanners to track inventory movements and ensure precise location management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members, pickers, and leads to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
