Reports to: CEO - Managing Director

Job Summary: The R&D Specialist - Design & Packaging Division is responsible for conceptualizing, developing,

and improving packaging designs that align with brand identity, product functionality, and market trends. This role

focuses on enhancing product presentation, sustainability, and customer experience while coordinating closely with

suppliers, designers, and Operations teams. The position ensures all design and packaging materials meet brand,

quality, and cost standards, supporting innovation and growth across the product range.

Essential Responsibilities:

Research global packaging trends, materials, and technologies relevant to food and confectionery products. Develop and prototype new packaging concepts, ensuring functionality, durability, and brand alignment. Collaborate with graphic designers, marketing, and production teams to finalize packaging artwork and
structure.

Source and evaluate packaging materials, vendors, and manufacturers for quality, sustainability, and cost
efficiency.

Prepare technical specifications, mock-ups, and samples for management approval. Maintain organized records of packaging designs, supplier quotations, and samples. Support development of seasonal, limited edition, and promotional packaging concepts. Work closely with the procurement and operations teams to ensure timely production and delivery of
approved designs.

Test packaging for durability, temperature resistance, and shelf-life compatibility. Ensure compliance with local regulations, labeling standards, and environmental requirements.
Other Responsibilities:

Assist in developing new product formats, labels, and presentation concepts for retail and gifting. Coordinate with marketing on packaging launches, photoshoots, and visual merchandising. Maintain communication with suppliers to track progress and resolve design or material issues. Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying alternative materials or processes without compromising
quality.

Ensure confidentiality of product and packaging development information.
