Position: ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISOR

Preferred Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent

Experience

Minimum 05 years of experience proven onshore (Oil & Gas sector) construction with similar size and complexity preferably in Qatar or the Middle East region

Overview:

The Environmental supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring programs and practices to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, promote sustainability, and minimize the environmental impact of the organization's activities. This role involves collaboration with multiple departments, regulatory agencies, company standards, reduce risks, and promote a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with local


statutory & client requirements.

Communication Skills

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.


Excellent communication and reporting ability.


Proficient in environmental monitoring systems and data management software.


Practical problem-solving approach and ability to work in remote oil & gas environments.


Ability to interface effectively with regulatory bodies, contractors, and project leadership.

Key Accountabilities (Duties include but not limited to)

Coordinate all environmental programs with the HSES Manager.

Apply to PROJECT the regulations and guidelines issued by RLIC's environmental department and Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).

Be fully informed of environmental programs and strategies.

Implement and monitor the project's Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Supervise waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention measures.

Conduct environmental inspections and audits on the subcontractors.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with environmental standards.

Maintain environmental records, monitoring reports, and submission to client as required.

Investigate environmental incidents, spills, or non-conformities and ensure corrective/preventive actions.

Assist in taking any corrective or remedial actions necessary to prevent recurrence of environmental incidents.

Support contractors and subcontractors with environmental awareness and ensure adherence to requirements.

Provide environmental training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to employees and stakeholders.

Ensure maintenance of environmental matters and impact register.

* Prepare Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly environmental reports.
