Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor-Site for one of our clients with the following details: Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 12 Months Location: Abu Dhabi - UAE Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost estimation methodologies.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Utilize historical data and market analysis to inform cost projections.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, implementing effective cost control measures to minimize variances.
- Conduct regular financial reporting, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies throughout the project.
- Conduct site visits and measurements to verify quantities and progress of work.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts in collaboration with project teams.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and cost management.
- Assist in the assessment of change orders and variations, providing recommendations for cost adjustments.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in quantity surveying and cost management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technologies affecting quantity surveying.
