We seek a competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team at AlDaymoma General Contracing LLC-SPC.
As a quantity surveyor, you will manage all Road Works, Stormwater Network, Laying of Tiles & Kerbstone, excavation, pipe laying, complete infrastructure project costs, from the initial calculations to the final figures. Your role will be highly critical in ensuring the financial success of our construction projects.
As a vital team member, you will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors and other professionals to manage the project costs and ensure it is completed within the stipulated budget. You will be essential to the venture's success by providing expert advice on cost management, contract negotiation and procurement. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that construction projects are profitable and financially sustainable.

Objectives of this role
Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
Preparation of measurement sheet, WIR, monthly progress payment.
As built quantity take off.
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures.
Your tasks
Understanding the client requirements and quantities take off as per marking and RFQ, Design, Shop, As Built drawings.
Preparing BOQ (bill of quantities) by studying specification sheets from the sales team.
Identifying gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Participation in the pre-tendering activities with client, architect and project managers and raising relevant pre-bid queries from the given tender.
Preparing the initial quote and contract for the sales team from the company's side.
Coordination with the design team for analysing architectural and service drawings.
Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations.
Preparing interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site.
Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and achieve value for money.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management or a related field.
5+ years of experience in UAE specially in Abu Dhabi & Al Ain (ADM, AACM)in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the Road construction industry. (Kindly don't apply for the job if you don't have experience in UAE or Relevant Field)
Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.
Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.
Study the Full set of Tender Documents and Prepare Quantity Take Offs, Bill of Quantities, Dry Cost Analyses, Rate Comparisons and Final Offers
Knowledge of service guidelines, such as the Stormwater, Services.
Identify, Source, Seek and Follow-up for Quotations from Suppliers/Sub-Contractors for materials / sub-contract work.
Identify the Conflicts/Omissions in the Tender Documents and Liaising with the Consultants for the Tender Clarifications in a timely manner and relaying the same to the relevant suppliers / sub-contractor.
Make site visits to the proposed project locations and identify the requirement of any additional provisions to be considered in the final bid.
Prepare Preliminary Tender Programs of the Proposed Projects in Primavera P6 as mandated in the Instruction to Tenderers.
Prepare the Full Set of Documents for the Tender Submission Liaise with the Consultants / Designers/ Client for Tender Feedback / Post Tender Clarifications and Re-evaluate and Submit Offers accordingly
Cost Control of the Projects to ensure the Projects Costs fall in line with Project Budgets
Prepare Baseline Program of the Project with detailed breakdown of activities, links, Cost and Resource Loading, visualizing the full work schedule over the course of Project Duration
Prepare S-Curves, Project Cashflow, Manpower Histograms for the Project.
Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
Understanding general contracting, design-build, package contracting, value-based project and loading margins and projects.
Experience working with AutoCAD & AutoCAD Civil3d and validating quantities from the given drawings.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Professional membership or certification in quantity surveying or construction management.
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Sound knowledge of construction.
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
A valid driver's license.
Great networking abilities.
Experience working on various construction projects, including residential and commercial sites.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
