Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a diligent and experienced Quantity Surveyor & Procurement Officer to join the team at DA Architects & Interiors. This dual-function role is responsible for managing project cost control, preparing BOQs, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, FF&E, and services required for our design and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both quantity surveying and procurement, with a solid understanding of design, construction, and interior fit-out processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and estimates based on architectural/interior drawings and specifications. Analyze project scope and provide cost advice during the design development and tender stages. Monitor project budgets and track variations, claims, and cost impacts. Conduct site visits to measure work done and verify contractor progress claims. Provide value engineering options to ensure cost efficiency without compromising design quality. Assist in tender evaluations and contract administration.

Procurement:

Source and evaluate suppliers for materials, FF&E, lighting, finishes, and other project-related items. Request quotations, analyze bids, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Issue purchase orders and coordinate delivery timelines in line with project milestones. Work closely with the design and project teams to align procurement with project needs and design intent. Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date supplier database and procurement documentation. Ensure all procurement activities comply with quality standards, company policies, and project budgets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying and procurement, preferably in the design, fit-out, or construction industry. Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and fit-out methodologies.
