to lead the commercial, contractual, and cost management of MEP projects from design through construction and final account, in accordance with FIDIC Conditions of Contract. The role is strongly focused on MEP quantity surveying, cost control, and commercial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead MEP quantity surveying functions, including cost planning, budgeting, BOQs, and cost control.
Review MEP designs from a commercial and cost-efficiency perspective during the design stage.
Administer FIDIC-based MEP contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare, assess, and negotiate variations, claims, and EOTs, including design-related changes.
Manage monthly interim valuations, cash flow, and final accounts for MEP packages.
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks specific to MEP works.
Coordinate with MEP consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to protect commercial interests.
Provide commercial input to procurement strategies and subcontractor appointments.
Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for management.
Support dispute avoidance and resolution through strong contractual control.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management
.
8+ years' experience
in
MEP quantity surveying and contract management
.
Strong working knowledge of
FIDIC contracts
.
Proven experience in
MEP design and construction projects
.
Middle East / GCC experience
preferred.
Professional certification (
MRICS / RICS
) is an advantage.
