Job Description

Job Purpose
To manage cost planning, estimation, measurement, and commercial control for road construction projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost efficiency, and compliance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Tendering

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for road construction works.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Assist in tender submissions and contract negotiations.

Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

• Measure quantities and prepare interim payment applications.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and forecasts.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders and claims.
• Maintain cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Contracts & Commercial Management

• Prepare and review subcontract agreements.
• Assess subcontractor payment applications and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, planners, and procurement teams.
• Track material quantities and usage.
• Support project teams with cost-related advice.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and financial summaries.
• Assist in project close-out and final accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in road or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimation, BOQs, and cost control.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimating software.
