Key Responsibilities

BOQ Preparation & Costing

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in coordination with Design, Procurement, and Finance teams. Assist in costing, pricing, and analysis of direct and indirect costs for all BOQ items. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate quantity take-offs.

Site Visits & Monitoring

Conduct site visits to verify quantities, take measurements, and monitor project progress as required. Check and review site requisitions, comparing them against the approved BOQ to avoid discrepancies.

Tendering & Estimation

Prepare competitive quotations and tender submissions in line with project requirements. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate for optimum pricing and terms. Prepare cost comparison sheets and recommend cost-effective options.

Variation & Contract Management

Submit, negotiate, and manage contract variations, additional works, snags, and maintenance orders. Track changes in design or construction work and adjust budgets accordingly. Assist in preparing and submitting progress payment applications and final account settlements.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues. Maintain updated records of BOQs, variation orders, and material usage reports. Support procurement by providing updated material requirements and price data.

Compliance & Market Awareness

Ensure compliance with UAE Municipality and Civil Defense requirements in all cost planning activities. Keep abreast of UAE market prices for building materials, labor, and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

: Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

Experience

: Minimum 3-5 years experience in estimation and quantity surveying (construction projects & Sit out ).

Technical Skills

: AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), estimation software (Candy, PlanSwift), MS Project.

Soft Skills

: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.

Key Competencies

Accurate understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities and avoiding scope creep. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with frequent site visits across UAE as required. May require extended hours to meet tender deadlines or project milestones.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
