Job Description

We are urgently looking for a skilled

Quantity Surveyor (Civil)

to join our team in UAQ.

Lead and manage tenders according to company rules and procedures to make sure company makes the most of its business possibilities.

To make sure that the company uses a consistent Tender Process and approach to improve the quality and efficiency of the Tender Process.

Responsibilities:

Risk evaluation, cost estimation, and value management.

Preparing and calculating the approximate cost of project implementation (preparation of RFP's / RFQ's)

The examination and evaluation of bids.

Continuously collaborate Procurement, Engineering, and Management to optimize tender solutions and idea from handover to submission to maximize tender winning prospects.

Monitoring monthly cost reports that include budgets, certified to date, paid to date, approved variations, variations in process, variations anticipated, etc.

Create insurance and bond needs, check for approvals, and ensure safekeeping.

Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project-related documentation.

Constraint review for advisory and contractor contracts.

Familiarity with industry-standard construction contracts.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications:

3 to 5+ years of relevant experience preferably from construction industry.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

Proven track record working for a contractual firm.

Expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract tenders.

Have a keen analytical mindset to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and potential benefits of different project variants.

Have a solid understanding of MEP and Civil Works.

Familiarity with making use of measurements and mathematical calculations is required in order to carry out site surveys.
