Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment
Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation
Review and evaluate contractor tenders and commercial submissions
Support preparation of contracts, procurement plans and project cost strategies
Conduct value engineering to enhance project cost efficiency
Coordinate with design teams to ensure cost-effective technical solutions
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for competitive pricing
Measure quantities for cost plans, estimates and tender packages
Implement and monitor cost control procedures throughout project lifecycle
Assist with financial claims and contract administration
Evaluate variations, additions and omissions for monthly cost reporting
Prepare and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors
Perform market testing and analyze tender returns for benchmarking
Maintain and update project cost databases for future reference
Ideal Profile
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field
RICS certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant quantity surveying experience
Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Office Suite
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent documentation, communication and negotiation abilities
Understanding of UAE construction contracts, procurement and regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Organized, accurate and able to meet tight deadlines
Collaborative approach with cross-functional project teams
Adaptability to evolving project needs and industry trends
