Overview

***This position will support APS5 and it is contingent upon award***

Under general direction of the Operations Lead, the Quality Specialist assists with day-to-day operations at the Department level by; ensuring that all reports, Customer Comment Program, Process Improvement Projects and databases systems (Maximo & Share-Point) are maintained with trade certifications, licenses and training records.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

+ Prepares monthly reports, weekly reports, and deliverables for the Quality Department, Corporate and the USG.

+ Ensure Maximo is updated with relevant program trade certifications, licenses and training records.

+ Ensure the customer comment program is maintained, and data is reported.

+ Ensure Share-Point is maintained, so include for Library, CCC data and Process Improvement Projects.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High School Diploma.

+ Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a valid Secret Clearance.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a host nation Driver's License, is required.

+ Experience:

+ Requires five (5) years of Operations experience.

+ Preferred Experience: Certification as an ISO 9001 Auditor (or ability to obtain), and Quality Management System (QMS) experience are preferred.

+ Skills:

+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

+ Knowledge in Hazardous Waste Management, Pest Control, Pollution Prevention, Compliance, Water Management, and Safety.

+ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

+ Knowledgeable of how to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

+ Must be able to read, write and speak the English language with proficiency.

+ Must be capable of typing a minimum of 20 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.

+ Must know or capable to gain an understanding of the mission for Environmental Section of the Public Works Directorate.

+ Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.

+ Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office and/or other related applications.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Works in a general office environment.

+ duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 120 degrees in the summer months.

+ Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required.

+ Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.

+ Normal work week is 48 hours but must be able to work overtime or nights as required.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Work will require lifting up to 25 lbs.

+ stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.

+ Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

+ Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
